    Swinton is a district that is located in the eastern outer edge of the Scottish city of Glasgow. In the early 1790's Swinton village began to come into view with the construction of cotton hand loom weavers' cottages.

    The biggest city in Scotland is Glasgow. It is also a very famous unitary authority area. On the river Clyde in the country's west central lowlands is where Glasgow lies. People from this city are called Glaswegians, which co incidentally happens to be the mother tongue of Scots and is also commonly referred to as "the Glasgow Patter". It is also referred to as the "Second City of the British realm" in the Victorian epoch. After London and Edinburgh, it is the third most famous place that attracts tourist from across the globe in the United Kingdom.
