Does Londonderry In Northern Ireland Have Some Nice Places To Stay?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, despite being a miserable pit of a place, it does actually have some quite lovely places to stay.  They are spread throughout the city and range from nice little friendly B&Bs (there are some amazingly ropey ones too, run by a man called Michael) but also some top rate hotels.

It all depends on your budget. If you are not so well off and you need to stay in Derry, maybe you are backpacking or holidaying on a tight budget, you can speak to the accommodation office of the University of Ulster, they might rent you a room for a few days as a private let.

Next, a couple of nice B&Bs are located in Great James Street, I don't recall the names, but they are decent honest people.

For hotels, try the Tower in Butcher Gate, or Da Vincis Hotel (they also do apartments for the week/weekend etc).
