Where Is The Black Sea Located?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It is at the eastern end of the Mediterranean sea that the Black sea is located.  On the west side of the Black Sea are Romania and Bulgaria while Turkey is situated on its south-west end and south end along with the Soviet Union bordering the east and the north.  The large peninsula called Crimea projects into the Black Sea from the north.  There is another small sea that is linked to Black Sea by the Strait of Kerch.  As for another tiny sea called Marmara, it is linked to the Black Sea by another strait called the Bosporus on the south west of the Black Sea.  A long strait called Dardanelles connects the Marman sea to the Mediterranean Sea.

The coastline of the Black sea is very high and rocky in the south while the coastline on the north is more shallow and lower with many rivers streaming in, such as the river of Danube, the Dniester and, the Dnieper .
