This Question is Answered

5 Months Old Yorkie Was Completely Potty Trained Using Pads For Over 2 Months. Last Week Out Of Nowhere It’s Like She Completely Forgot And Is Peeing And Defecating Wherever She Feels Like It. Why?

We didn't even have this bad a problem when we first got her. What is wrong? Is this normal? We've gone back to crate training, but she almost seems depressed because she no longer has freedom.

Well dogs are best trained young, and sometimes but not often they can forget, its best if you train them to go outside so they don't mistake the floor as a wee pad, they need the outdoors and its cleaner and doesn't smell in your house. I hope i helped.

You have answered your own question. Dogs are meant to be out of doors when using the bathroom so to speak. If god intended for them to be like humans he would of given them the capacity to think for themselves and to voice their distain for having to wear a diaper for lack of a better word. For my sake and your dog teach it to go outside in a specific area. You would be depressed to if someone made you go into a certain room of their choosing and be told to use the bathroom in that area with no choice of your own and then sit in it until they came and let you out. Think about it. Talk about inhumane treatment of animal.

Seriously, she is only a puppy and the vet recommended we keep her inside until she has had all of her shots and she is so small they spread the shots out longer than normal. I asked a question because I needed advice not because I need to be told that I'm inhumane to my little puppy. You have no business judging people.

I have had my yorkie for 12 yrs. And she has been known to do the same thing on approx. 4 or 5 occasions.  don't give up on her...should wouldn't give up on you.  perhaps another animal has been outside your home & she is marking her territory....please leave her out of the crate and try again with the  wee pads.  i think she has learned her lesson.  yorkies are smart and not stubborn but they are very sensitive so pls ♥ her and try again or give me a shout & i will take her off your hands♥  i find a doggie door works best with a small fenced in area.
