You have to check the audio cable. If your tv only has 2 plugs ins and your dvd/vcr has three, unplug the red one and plug in the other one (white or yellow) that should fix your problem.

Recheck your your connection. make sure you have one plugged into the video output. (out to T.V) hope this helps
