A comedy club is a location, which is more or less like a nightclub. In a comedy club people generally watch or eavesdrop to performances, including stand-up comedians, improvisational comedians, impersonators, magicians, ventriloquists and other comedy acts. A comedy club is much more different from the improv theatres. This club generally features stand up comedy unlike places that sketch comedy or any kind of musical acts.
Some of the comedy clubs that are well known are Caroline's, Catch a Rising Star, Comedy Cellar, Comedy Connection Boston, The Comedy Store, The Comic Strip Live, Dangerfield's, The Improv, HA!comedy club, The Laugh Factory, The Legendary Ice House, The Punchline, The Stardome and The Funny Bone Comedy Club & Cafe Columbus.
