I Need To Know What Pigment To Add To Semi Gloss Basic White To Create Antique White Color?

Answer Question

You could add just a tiny bit of warm brown - add a very small amount to begin and try it in a tester pot first. That way you can experiment until you are happy with the colour.  Usually antique white has a slightly warm 'yellowed' tint.  To give cotton wool an antique look, you can spritz it with a mixture of water and tea.  Similarly, a 'tea' shade of pigment added to brilliant white will give it a softer, more aged appearance.

Because different types of paint may react badly with one another, be sure that the pigment you are using is the exact same brand and range as your basic white paint. Alternatively, you could just purchase a pot of Antique White; if the paint is not too expensive you might want to go for this option -- perhaps you could use your basic white as a base coat elsewhere.
