    Why Do Dogs Want To Lick People's Faces?

    I can not stand the taste of salty (people) skin. Why does my dog always want to kiss my face even when I've been sweating, how can he stand it?

      Cute answers but all wrong - well intentioned but incorrect. 
       
      Dogs lick your face in order to smell and taste the pheromones coming out of your mouth and nostrils. 
       
      This is how dogs gather information about us from us. Our pheromones tell dogs our age, our general health and the mood we are currently experiencing. 
       
      When dogs sniff other dogs behinds, they are doing exactly the same thing, gathering information from dogs about dogs.
