Where Is The World's Highest Waterfall?

Answer Question

The highest waterfall in the entire world is in the state Venezuela that is located in the continent of South America.  Being referred to as the Angel Falls, the waterfall lies on the River Carrao.  The depth to which this waterfall tumbles down is almost about 3212 feet down the river.

It was not until the decade of the 1930's that the local inhabitants of Venezuela actually came to know about the Angel Falls or the country surrounding it.  The reason behind this surreptitious (read undiscovered) presence was mainly the steep rocks that were the chief cause behind the difficulty that travellers used to face in overland travel to the region and hence were not too keen on making the journey.  It was when the aircrafts started penetrating the region that the falls came into discovery.  The waterfall got its name from the American adventurer James Angel who crashed near the Angel Falls in the year 1936.
