    The Birmingham's local radio stations are BRMB, Galaxy, Heart FM, Kerrang! 105.2, New Style Radio 98.7FM, Saga 105.7FM and BBC WM.

    The 96.4 BRMB is a total pop/rock radio station. It was also known as, The New 96.4 BRM. It was first aired on February 19, 1974. The famous radio jockeys that attracts a huge number of audiences are Elliott Webb, Tammy Gooding, Russ Morris, James Blond, to name a few.

    Galaxy 102.2 is a regional radio station that gives you complete dance music and R'n'B. it first aired on January 1, 1995.

    100.7 Heart fm, targets to a specific audience group. It targets women aged between 25-44. The first song to be played was on September 6, 1994, which was 'Something Got Me Started', by Simply Red.

    Kerrang! 105.2, is a complete youth radio station. Radio DJ's like Rachel New, Ugly Phil, Rick Shaw offer you modern and classic rock music all day long.

    New Style Radio 98.7FM, is very distinguished from the rest, it offers Afro-Caribbean music to its listeners.

    Apart from the above radio station, there is one hospital radio station that covers around 10 hospitals across the city. It is known as BHBN (Birmingham Hospital Broadcasting Network) Hospital Radio.
