I Am Filing Bankruptcy And 8 Months Ago We Sold A Car To My Daughter, Can They Take It?

We got a new car in July (2006). My daughter needed a car to transport my grandchildren, so we sold her our old car for $1000 (a 2000 Chevy Tracker) in April of this year (2007) Can they take the car away from my daughter? I live in Oregon.

If you still owe a bank or finance company money on the vehicle then they hold the title on that vehicle and it was not yours to sell. Yes they can take it in that instance.

If the vehicle was yours free and clear and your daughter has transferred the title into her name then it can't be touched.
