    The sun heats up and evaporates off the water, leaving just the salt behind!

      The other reason would be ionizing energy, which is the energy required to remove an electron from its orbit. Ionizing energy would be capable of breaking the bonds between salt and water and then heat would evaporate the water and the only remaining substance would be NaCl.
