How Often Should I Check The Engine Oil Level Of A Car?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The engine oil level of the car should be checked within every 3-4 months or around every 3000 miles. Many leading car manufacturing companies recommend oil changes around 6000-6500 miles. However in most places in Europe oil change is done somewhere between 11,000 to 15,000 miles.

You can also check the engine oil level in after every two months if you want to. Checking and changing of motor oil should be done at regular intervals. This helps the car to function more smoothly.

The main benefit of engine oil is that it helps in cooling down the engine by taking heat away from the moving engine parts. Engine oil also helps in cutting down the friction level in major components of the car. It is used as a lubricant in the engines. Mobil 1 is one of the leading makers and manufacturers of engine oils.
