No anorexia is different from bulimia. With anorexia, a person will not be able to eat because they have become obsessed with their weight and believe, wrongly, that they need to lose weight. Eating becomes something shameful and disgusting with anorexics.
Bulimics also wrongly feel that they need to lose weight, but unlike anorexics, bulimics will eat, then they will either make themselves sick or they will use laxatives to purge themselves of the food they have consumed. Sometimes bulimics will have binges and eat a whole packet of biscuits or huge amount of cake and then get rid of the food.
However, both these conditions are clearly eating disorders and both can lead to long term health problems.
With both conditions there is much secrecy about food and eating (and in the case of bulimics, getting rid of the food) and so the conditions can be very hard to spot.
No..
Anorexia is when you don't eat anything at all but bulimia is when you binge eat, but straight after you feel guilty about eating it so you make yourself throw it all up.
Both are terrible eating disorders. I am sure its awful, to have to live with all the shame, And negative self perception. Being your own worst enemy. Always feeling sick, because of lack of food, and stomach irritation, never feeling good enough for themselves or for others. In the long term, you voice is changed by continuous stomach acid, These disorders also ruin your teeth, and could easily kill you. Hopefully you are just curious. Please please don't ever consider this as a lifestyle choice. Good fortune.
No they are not anorexic people are people who eat and throw up and lose weight and bulimic people are people who eat and throw up and never lose weight it just becomes a ritual your stomach gets so used to you sticking your finger down your throat and making yourself throw up that eventually you don't even have to do that anymore you just throw up.
