A storage heater works on the basic principle of storing the heat energy and using it when required. It mostly used in the cold regions. The electrical energy is converted into heat energy which is stored in the form of heat. The controls which are present on the heaters are of two types namely, the charge control which is the input control and the draught control which is the output control. These controls can be adjusted manually as well as automatically.
The adjustment of the controls alters the temperatures during day and also at night. The regulatory control of the charge control receives and gives out the heat into the storage device. If you require more heating at the daytime, then you have to set controls in such a way wherein there is maximum storage of heat so that it can be used during winter or as per the requirement. You do not need to adjust the controls again once they are set. The output control is set at the minimum level at night time or when heating is not necessary at the day time.
