Is Internet Dating Dangerous?
I've met this girl once, we talked by msn for 3 months, until we decided to meet. I had only seen a photo of her, so I was not sure if she was real. But she was, and things worked out between us. But I keep seeing websites that warn teenagers about pedophiles and other dangers. Is Internet dating closer to the first scenario or the second, more dangerous one?Please explain your answer.

To me it is dangerous because you really don't know who you're talking to... Just because someone tells you who they are doesn't mean they are that person... You might think you're talking to a 18 year old guy or girl and then that person could be a 40 year old guy or woman... See people could lie about a lot of things over the Internet thats why i don't trust people over the Internet... I don't think that online dating is the best way to get to know someone for a love interest. Especially if they want to meet up with you just after meeting you. Odds are this person is not what they say they are.
If you are just wanting to make friends, that should be fine, but sometimes, a friend can turn out to be a malicious person, and they'll cause you more grief than they are worth.

Well yea it could but then again it might not be..that's how me and the love of my life met and well we have been together ever since it just depends on who the person is on the other side of the conversation and u have to be careful and just take it slow and make that person earn your trust with time...take time
