    MPEG4 is a standard that is employed in the compression of video and audio data and it stands for the "Moving Picture Experts Group Compression Standard Version 4. It refers to the technology employed to compress video, voice and related data as per the Expert Group's international standards. It is an extension to the existing MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 formats and is a processing technique that synthesizes video, speech, computer visualisation, fractal compression and artificial intelligence. MPEG4 was introduced in 1998. It is basically a designation that the ISO/IEC agreed upon as the standard for coding video and audio and the related technology. It is considered in terms of the digital representation of audio, video and specific 3D information as the most recent or the latest standard.
