How Do I Alter The Sleep Option On My EMac?

Click on the apply icon, 'System Preferences', then under 'Hardware', click on 'Energy Saver'. In the pop-up window which appears, you can choose how long both the cumputer and the display are inactive before they go into sleep mode.

There may be some options that you cannot change, and this may be because the computer admistrator has already set the changes and is the only one who can select different options. These are options that appear in the 'Schedule' section in the pop-up window.

You can also put your eMac to sleep by clicking on 'Sleep' on the login menu, which appears before you login and also when you logout.
