My Dog Is Shedding A Lot Lately,depressed,9yo Collie Shepherd, what Should I Do?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Try getting the pup out for some exercise, like people when they don't move a lot, you can go into a depression. If this doesn't perk the pup up, I would suggest that you take him/her in to be seen by the vet. It could be that it needs some vitamins or something like that. Hope this helps, good luck to you and your pup.

Exercising is a great way to help with depression, even in animals. If possible, maybe another pet to keep this one moving when no one is home. Sometimes this can make it worse though. If it continues to long, you may want to see your vet about any other possiblities that may be causing some changes, like getting older (you may want to cover the dogs ears when you say that getting older part).

There is a treatment called "The Furminator" that is available at some groomers. It worked wonders on my Lab.
