Would Baking Something As A Unique Baby Shower Favor Be A Good Idea?

Baking something in order to give out as a unique baby shower favor, is definitely a really nice idea. It shows that you have put effort into the gifts and that you appreciate your guests.

What would make the baking really unique is if you placed the name of the mother and baby on them. Of course if the mother does not yet know what she wants to call the baby then you can simply add "Sarah Smith's Baby Shower – For Her Expected Baby Boy" or something along those lines. It is personal and it is something that the guests can choose to keep if they want to and it will remind them of the baby shower forever. However if you do want the guests to be able to keep the baking, you have to ensure that it is treated so that it will not go mouldy over time.

How about baking something for the shower, include the recipe, and then give a homemade gift card to the mom promising to bake 5 or so more for her after the baby is born?  Believe me, ANY help with meals, desserts, cooking of any kind is greatly appreciated after the baby arrives.
