There Is A Story About The Christmas Pickle. Does Anyone Know The Story And Where It Came From ?

I have never heard of it. Poor thing sounds lonely.

There seems to be controversy but the Christmas Pickle was put on the tree last and whoever found it Christmas Day got and extra gift and good fortune for the following year.   Some say it is an old German tradition but none seems to take the credit for starting it.
