This is the fluid that circulates around your brain and spine. It is examined in a lab. If you have meningitis they will give you medications depending on which type you have.

The bacterial version of meningitis is the one that is the worst since it can cause long-term damage sich as deafness, epilepsy, hydrocephalus and cognitive deficits (brain damage).
