If its for sure not blood dyes. If it is mucusy and red take dog to vet. Also if it looks more like coffee grounds or balckish red its from further in intestines. Bright red is in the lower intestons. Good Luck. Hope this helps.

Parvo virus is caught from cats in your garden and unless your dog has been inoculated it can catch the disease which affects its digestive system, and causes blood loss from the bowel, if this is occurring go to vets immediately as it is a killer.
