BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application and is a precursor to getting an MCA (which is a Masters). The BCA tries to develop capabilities of a student in the Techno Managerial field. What this basically means is that the program covers all aspects which relate to technology and management. The BCA program enables a fresher to design and manage business application software. A BCA from a reputed University and with good grades should be sufficient to guarantee a job to a fresher in the IT sector but for better carrier prospects you may consider completing a MCA as well. A MCA is a Master of Computer Application program that consists of a postgraduate three year full time degree program. The program covers subjects as varied as C++, Computer Design, Theory of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, RDBMS, Graphics, JAVA languages etc.
