Straw for bedding, hay for food, and feed nuts, stable for bed, paddock for exercise. Lassoo to catch em, saddle to ride em. Bridle to steer them. A water but to let them drink. A Vet and Doctor for those little injuries to them and you. Oh and a wheel barrow and brush and shovel for mucking out as they say.

A lassoo! Were in the world did you hear that, are you yankee or something!
Horses are a lot of work, which means there are a lot of things you will need!
First, you will need a paddock and some sort of shelter, whether it be a barn or just a run-in shed.
If you have stalls you will need some sort of bedding. I prefer pine shavings, but there are other choices such as straw or sand.
Now you will need a few buckets. You can never have too many buckets! Probably two 5 gallon buckets per horse for water, or a big water trough in the paddock. You will need two small buckets per horse for grain, and a few for bathing.
To feed, you will need some grain, and some nice hay.
Horses need grooming, so you will need a curry comb, a hard brush, a soft brush, a mane and tail brush, a mane pulling comb, some braid bands (just in case you need to keep some hair out of the way of an injury, or some other reason), a hoof pick, some sponges for bathing, and a few rags.
For the horse, you will need a halter and a lead rope for each horse (sometimes it's good to have an extra rope too). If you are planning on riding, you will need a saddle, a girth, stirrup irons, stirrup leathers, a bridle, reins, a bit, and a saddle pad or two.
For mucking out, you will need a wheelbarrow, a pitchfork, a shovel, two brroms (one for sweeping poop and water off the ground and dirty jobs, and a clean one for sweeping clean shavings into stalls, and neatening things up), and and somewhere to put the dirty pile. If you want to get rid of the waste, you will need to find someone to take it.
For equine health, it's good to have a few medical things hanging around. You will need a thermometer for horses, some FuraZone or other wound treatment, and a stethascope.
Regular health care is important for all horses! These are two people you will need often: The vet, and the farrier. The vet will float your horse's teeth, and take care of anything your horse needs taken care of. They will also answer any questions you may have, and will be there for an emergency. The farrier will need to trim your horse's hooves, and shoe them if needed. Something else you will need often is a wormer. Every two months you will need to deworm your horses. You can buy them at most tack or feed stores.
Some seasonal things most horses will need are fly masks, fly sprays, coolers, and turnout blankets.
That's most of what you will need for a horse, I hope you're prepared for the work horses are! Good luck!
