Can You Recommend Any Good Audio Books?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Certainly can!  If you have ITunes, then obviously you have a whole range of amazing audiobooks available through the Store but otherwise there is also audible.com (who seem to make most of the ones on the Store anyway!)

    Recent enjoyable audio books include:

The New York Times interview with Eddie Izzard, funny and insightful.  I have also enjoyed recently The History Boys, the audio version of the hugely successful West End/Broadway/Film by Alan Bennett, with a great cast and wonderful script.

I've also recently enjoyed Fatherland, an adaptation of the Robert Harris novel, set in a London that was invaded and overtaken by the Nazis.

There is also an excellent audio version of David Mamet's Speed the Plow with Jeff Goldblum in the cast, that's very good indeed.

If you would like to learn a language Pimsleur makes some amazing audio learning books in a huge range of languages.
