Is It True Some People Buy Pocket Bikes Then Never Ride Them?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Sadly, the answer is yes. Pocket bikes are seen by some people as mantelpiece ornaments. As often as not, the owner has purchased it as a trophy or as a shiny boy's toy to adorn their office or lounge.

But this is really a shameful waste as these mini rockets are the real deal. Where they ought to be seen – and heard – is on the race track where they most definitely belong. Ask any pocketbike enthusiast and they will confirm that mini rocket pocketbikes are for riding. They're most assuredly not intended as expensive dust collectors for wannabe riders to misuse as centrepieces or talking points.

It is understandable why a certain proportion of pocket bikes end up as collectables. Quite simply they're works of art in metal, alloy, aluminum and fibreglass. They're small but evoke pure rubber-burning power and give off more than a heady hint of high-octane fuelled testosterone.
