This depends upon what color of red you're speaking of. American cockers are usually a shade of blonde, black and tan, solid black, or speckled. A red cocker is usually a reddish-gold color. According to the American Kennel Club, American cockers can range in color from light blonde to solid black. Many cockers are parti-colored e.g. black and tan; cockers are shown as either parti-colored or ASCOB (Any Solid Color Other Than Black). This is where you would see a reddish-gold cocker. To find a breeder, pick up the magazine Dog Fancy; it contains lists of legitimate breeders all over the United States.
