Likley reasons i can think of are:
1. If you are female, obviously, you may be getting your period. Just before i get my period i always have pains in my lower abdomen, sometimes on one side, usually the side where the egg is being released.
2. You may have a bladder infection
personally i would do some research on the web - just type in your question into google or any other web search. If the pain still remains and you haven't found any helpful information i would consult your doctor, even just talking on the phone about your problem with a doctor may saught your problem out, even without a doctor
