There are three varieties of toads found in the Andres Mountains, which are located in South America. The scientific name for the Andean mountain toad is Andinophryne, and the three varieties of toads are called Andinophryne atelopoides, Andinophryne colomai and Andinophryne olallai. The Andinophryne atelopoides (Western Andes toad) belongs to the Bufo atelopoides family, and was possibly an original member of the Bufo margaritifier group.
