Can You Tell Me About Grayson Hall?

Grayson Hall was born on the 8th of September 1922, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was an American actress who was nominated for both the Oscar and Golden Globe awards for her role in the film "The Night Of The Iguana".

Hall is best remembered for her role in 'Dark Shadows', a 1966 cult TV series. She played the role of 'Julia Hoffman' a friend of Barnabas Collins the vampire. Her looks were supposed to be perfect for the role. She was a slim red head with sharp features. She has also appeared in several other television and theatre performances.  

Grayson was a pet name given to her by her future husband Sam Hall, she adapted Grayson Hall as her professional name when the person preparing an acting contract assumed it was her name and entered it as such in to the contract. She is also credited as Shirley Grayson. She died in August 1985.
