What Happens In Extreme Weather Conditions In The UK?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

UK, one of the technologically advanced and powerful countries in the world, is noted to have a temperate climate, with cool winters, warm summers and rainfall all through the year. The climate of the UK is influenced by its northerly latitude ranging from 50 to 60 degrees N, its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and waters around the British Isles being warmed by the Gulf Stream. Therefore, the weather changes notoriously from one day to another, although the temperature does not swing vigorously.

Thus, the climate change in the UK brings in floods and storms that are predicted to be more frequent and turbulent than in the past, thereby resulting in more floods due to lack of proper control. Because of this, valuable assets in various parts of the UK face the danger of damage due to coastal floods, river floods as well as coastal erosions.
