    Because we're smart. We seen first hand, what happened to japan, and one way to make sure it never happens here is to, well ..... Keep those weapons out of reach of the enemy's hands.

    Doesn't it seem hypocritical though? I'm thinking Japan is the only country with this right.

      Yes but think bout this the United States proved that the emperor of Japan was not God.  We proved that by defeating them.  If they didn't use the bomb many, many more lives would had been lost on both sides because they thought that there leader was devine and wanted to die to protect there nation and there devine leader. They would have fought to the last man.  But when the emperor saw the bomb he had to surrender and show himself to be all to human.  The U.S then went in and poured alot of money and resources to change Japan and helped it to be a powerful democracy we see today.  So are they mad at the U.S. I think not
