What Is An Inexpensive Way To Finish A Floor In A Workshop?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

When building a workshop, a lot of people don't want to spend too much money on finishing the floor. The reason for this is that during the workshop's use, the floor may have paint spilled on it or other nicks and bumps; it would seem pointless to spend a lot on a rather fragile floor.

If your floor is wood, you can give it a bit of colour by using a heavy-duty floor paint. You can buy a floor paint at your local DIY store. Be sure to read the instructions to know if it is fit for painting floor surfaces. Floor paints are usually pretty tough and also can be extremely potent. They can be hazardous if not used correctly and require good ventilation and other protection, particularly for skin and eyes. Usually, floor paints take an hour to be dry to the touch but need several hours to be permanently dry. Floor paint adds a bit of colour, is sturdy, and can be easily changed if you happen to spill something on it when using your workshop.
