What Can You Do When You Remove Part Of The Tick And There's Still A Piece Remaining On The Dog And You Can Get It Out?

The best way to remove a tick from a dog is with vaseline, smear a big glob on the tick it won't be able to breath and back out, if tick is still inside after a few moments, you will want to get a pair of very sharp twizzers and grab the tick very close to the head and pull upward gently and that should do the trick, last but not least please have a vet help you if you are still having trouble, because if the head is still inside the skin it is still giving off toxins and your dog will get lyme disease.  good luck  susan lyons
