There are a number of airlines working in India and this number is constantly increasing every day. There are around 16 domestic functional airlines in India, fighting for the same market share. Jet Airways and Jet Lite have the most market share which is 30.4%.
There are a number of reasons for this increase in operative airlines such as:
- Increase in population
- Increase in willing customers to travel through an airline
- Fast paced life.
- Changes in Indian Aviation policies whereby now private companies are allowed to operate air taxi services.
