    The term 'APA format' describes a kind of style that is recommended by the Psychological Association of America and it is used for citing references. The format is widely used while writing research papers and the widest use of the format is while writing the manuscript and thesis that are based on the subject of social science. The typical style that the format specifies is about the names and order of things that should be used while writing papers. It also recommends arrangement of appendices, tables, footnotes and figures.
          
    The manual is of more than four hundred and one pages and as of today there available the fifth edition of the manual in the market. Sometimes some people use another style also and that style is called MLA style manual.
