What Is The Difference Between Sata And Eide Hard Drives?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Eide drives are an older connection type. Sata is a faster and more upto date technology allowing faster connection speeds on the hard drives. Sata (upto 150mbps) vs Eido (11-16 mbps) so there is a significant difference. If its an older motherboard you need to ensure that there is a Sata connection as they use different cable types.
