    Carre refers to the writer John le Carre. It is not his real name but a pseudonym for David John Moore Cornwell. He was an English writer famous for his espionage novels. He was born in Dorset, England. He lived in St Buryan, Cornwall, England for more than 40 years. His sister
    Charlotte Cornwell was an actress.

    He became a secret agent for M16 and wrote his first novel while he was still in service. His career as a secret agent came to an end after his cover was blown by Kim Philby, a double agent. Almost all of his books are spy-thrillers with an exception in The Naïve and Sentimental Lover. A perfect Spy is one of his most famous novels and is believed to be autobiographical. Some of his other books are 'A Call for the Dead', 'A Murder of Quality', 'The Honourable Schoolboy', 'The Night Manager' and others. He gives in depth description of his characters. He is widely hailed for his spy novels of the 20th century which was very different and more realistic than the spy thrillers of the James Bond genre.
