 George Square also known as the central square is located in the Scottish city of Glasgow. To the east lies the complex Glasgow City Chambers and the city’s cenotaph, to the south is the former General Post Office, to the north lays the Queen Street Station and the North British Railway Hotel and to the west lies a number of buildings. One of the most famous ones that can be noted in this square is the Trades Hall.

To the centre lies an 80 foot tall column that comprise of the statues of Walter Scott, Queen Victoria and her consort Prince Albert, poet Robert Burns, inventor James Watt, chemist Thomas Graham and politicians William Gladstone and Robert Peel. This square host a lot of events, these events could include public meetings, political gatherings, riots, protests, celebrations, and concerts.
