What Does A Inflammation Rate Of 3.8 Mean?

I recently had soom blood work done. The nurse called me today to say I had a high inflammation rate and that the doctor would like to see me right away. I had gone to the doctor because of two sores on my scalp.

The test used to determine the inflammation is called ESR and CRP tests. You have not mentioned which test you have gone through. The normal ESR levels are 0-15 in males and 0-20 in females. The CRP levels are not detected in the blood. It is calculated by measuring rh-CRP levels. The rh-CRP levels above 3 indicates risk of cardiovascular disease. I think you are missing something in your question. For details, visit Inflammation rate.
