This Question Is Answered:
I have hand raised a week and a half old kitten. The mother was a stray who had the kitten on my property. She ran away as I was taking her out of the car for vet care and and has now reappeared. She travelled ten miles back to my house for this kitten. She wants to nurse the kitten but I am not sure she still has milk. It has been about a week since she nursed it. Will she be able to or should I assist with feeding it by bottle?

Let mom try, just as in human breast feeding the body meets the demand. I don't know where you live, but the vet has boxes that you can purchase to put the cat in, I paid $6.00 for the box, and I have it stored so that I can use it again. If in the case that mom can't feed the kitten, then you would try bottle feeding. Good luck.
