Which Food Is Best For A Dachshund And How Much To Feed?

Food is very important for a Dachshund such as for other animals. But you must give a well balanced diet to your Dachshund; you can give them cheese, boiled egg, potatoes, etc. It is better to give them variety of foods as now many health experts says that variety of foods helps for protecting a Dachshund against allergies. After giving new food to your pet, you must analyze the health of your pet within 24 hours and if you see any change in the form of allergy, diarrhea, etc then you surely you will not give that food again. You can give them chicken, boiled meat, green beans on regular basis. Green beans will not harm your pet if you give them with his regular diet.

It depends on the age of a Dachshund that how much food should be given to them daily. ½ cup of food must be given four times a day to a puppy. Amount of food increases with the age of dog but it also depends on your dog's health. Do not give chocolates to your puppy. It is very harmful for pets as 2; 3 ounces of a chocolate can kill a Dachshund. Try to gi148ve them variety of foods but don't try to give a new food to them if you don't know what will be the influence of that food.
