The distance between Sheffield, England and Darwin, Australia is 8602 miles ie. 13843 kms.

Sheffield is a borough in South Yorkshire and it gets its name because of its origin in the field of river Sheaf.  It is the eight largest cities after London in England. It became famous in the early 19th century because of its steel industry. Many of the inventions were developed locally like crucibles and stainless steel which lead to a tenfold increase in population during the Industrial Revolution. In the 1970-1980 the industry declined due to international competition and the coal industry also declined leading to a fall in the population. Now it has come up as a centre for technology and is known for its sports.

Darwin is the capital of Northern Territory in Australia and is one of the most progressive and multi cultural cities in the continent. It has a great mix of Asian, European and Aboriginal cultures having a clear Australian feel. It has one of the prettiest harbour in the country and is a modern and multicultural city.
