Is There Any Such Thing As Negative Calorie Food?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    1) All food has a positive caloric value.
    2) Some foods (usually those high in cellulose) will require more energy for the body to burn than they actually provide back to the body.
    3) In testing, the 'negative caloric value' to the body is very small and is, in fact, negligible when compared to the amount of calories one must burn to lose one pound of fat.
    4) Diets founded on this method are not likely to be a primary factor in weight loss.
    5) Positive Caloric exchanges from normal eating would be drastically higher in magnitude than any Negative Caloric Exchanges, negating the need to focus on such a tactic.
