He was born in San Diego in the year 1968. His parents were Frank Hawk and Nancy. He was first familiarized with a skateboard when he was only 8 years of age. He used to play with it with his brother and friends. His first school contest was when he was only 12 years of age. And at the age of 14 he had started skating professionally.
