How Many Feet Are In A Troy Ounce If A Wire Has A Gauge Of 20?

Some silver wire is priced by the foot and others by the troy ounce. In order to determine comparable costs among suppliers, I need to know how many feet would equal a troy ounce. I'd prefer to buy by the t-oz, but don't know how many feet to ask for. Is there a table outlining the different gauge ratios to the t-oz? Thank you in advance.

This site sells you 19 feet of .999 fine silver 20 gauge wire when you buy 1 Troy ounce.

Of course, it will depend on the shape: You get twice the length of half-round wire. It also depends on the silver content.

Check G&S Metals. They break it down for you and have great prices.
