Its very legal to do that. Salary sucks cause you get paid x dollars for working more than an hourly person. My wife was salary but she had a contract that she was salary up to 40 hrs and anything over was time and a half. That's rare but it worked out ok. They can make you work 14 hrs in a 24 hr period if they want but you have to have 8 hrs between shifts. How do you like salary now?
