What Were The Fighting Conditions Like In World War 1?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

To put short, the conditions are looked back upon as terrible. Many soldiers suffered from diseases such as trench foot because they were submerged under muddy water for weeks at a time.
    Rats ran around the trenches.

Also many hideous weapons were used such as chlorine gas, mustard gas etc which blinded people, burned people and even did severe damage to internal organs.
