    The seventh Smallest sovereign state in the world are the Marshall Islands which have aggregate size of about 70 square miles. It is an archipelago which is comprised of about 50 islands and has a population of about 58,000. It was formerly under the US administration, administered as the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands and had gained independence in 1986.
